Advertising Tip 5

Give them "the facts" rather than general information.

When you say "long lasting" or "have been used by more than 900 people", do you think you're prospects will be believe that?

Chances are, they won't.
The description you just gave them are too broad and general.They need evidence that your product really works, not just some random statement that ANYONE could easily come up with.
But if its fact, its fact!!.

Lets say you're selling a car, mention in your ad that your car's engine emits 54.4% more power compared to other cars, rather than saying that your car's engine is powerful.

So do a research on your product and get your facts right!!

Advertising Tip 4

Sell them a "solution" not prevention.

When was the last time you went and see a doctor?
I bet it was when you were feeling a bit unwell or sick at that time, wasn't it?

Have you ever been to see a doctor just because you wanted some advise on how to PREVENT a disease rather than asking for a cure?Maybe but most likely, NO.

The same rule applies here in advertising.

Sell your prospects the "cure" for their problem and they'll get hooked to it.

Of course they say that prevention is better than cure, but that's just human nature.

We only find help once an event has happened to us.May it be financial, personal or business related problems.

So when you're writing up an advert, tell them that your product have the solution to their problem...and i guarantee that they'll come to you..best of luck.

Advertisng Tip 3

What's in it for me?.

Every one of us, me and you, have this same "What's in it for me? " mentality.

I mean why shouldn't we.We have a lot of options out there,so why should we pick a particular product unless it benefits us?.

This next subject that i'm about to discuss, is about the importance of explaining the benefits of using your product to your potential customers.

You have to tell them early rather than late in the advert about how THEY will benefit by using your product.

Giving information is one thing, but convincing them to use your product is another.
Probably more important as you're competing with other similar products out there.

So how do you do this?

-Simply explain to them the benefits of using your product.
-Offer them discounts.
-Send them free gifts...

Just recently. Malaysian Airline System (MAS) offered a "zero" fee airline ticket...
How could anyone top that?

...we'll what Air asia did was to come up with a new ad which said "LOWER than Zero fee".
(they compared the cost for airport taxes between MAS and the low cost airport fee of Air Asia)
..smart move eh?

So which ad would you click now?

Why? Because it benefits us.
We're not sellfish, we're just going for the best deals....

So think about this whenever you're writing up your ad...
" What's in it for me?"

Advertising Tip 2

For my second tip, we'll be discussing about the importance of creating "eye catching" titles on your advert.

How do you that?

Remember, the advert that you send out could be one out of the thousand ads (or more) that you're competing against...so you have to try and be a bit different to have the upper hand.

When creating an Ad title, you have to make it sound "catchy". Try to bring out the reader's curiousity towards your Ad.

Let's say you're trying to sell a camera.

The first ad says:
Camera for sale.Take pictures with this camera.

The second ad says:
Capture crystal clear pictures all the time, everytime!!.

Now you tell me, which advert sounds more interesting?

Trial and error is the only way that you can start improvising your "Ad Title Creating Technique".

Monitor the amount of clicks that you can get with a certain ad title and try experimenting it with another and see which one earns you the most clicks.

But once you've obtain the best title for your ad...don't stop there.
Try to come up with other creative ad titles in the future so that u maintain people's interest.

In the cyberworld, everyone's looking for information.
When they go on the net, there's always something that they're looking for.

To understand about the psychology of advertisement, always try putting yourself as the user.

Lets ask ourselves...Why do we use the internet?
Because the internet contains most of the information that we need.
Each and every one of us have different needs.

So its suffice to say that information is the key to any successful advertising.

Therefore, try applying this concept whenever you're creating an advert.
Give as much information as you can about your product and try not to hide anything from the consumer.

The more information you give, the more likely the prospect will be interested in purchasing your product or services.

If you're advertisement is vague and difficult to understand, people will start loosing interest really quick...and you'll end up loosing a prospect.

So remember...when writing up an advertisement, make it short, simple but straight to the point.

The more information, the better.

History of Pixel Ads
